Striker Didier Drogba is reportedly close to signing a contract with Juventus, but Chelsea could still mount a late bid for their former player.
Drogba is a free agent after leaving Galatasaray, and despite several offers being on the table, Juventus look in pole position to tie up a one-year deal for the 36-year-old.
However, according to Tuttosport, his future could hinge on whether Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho decides to move for the Stamford Bridge legend, who enjoyed eight successful years with the Blues.
Mourinho has previously hinted that Drogba would return to Chelsea in some capacity, but it is unknown whether he sees the forward as part of his plans for the next campaign.
