Peter Coates: 'No permanent Victor Moses talks'

Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has insisted that no discussions have taken place regarding the permanent transfer of Victor Moses.

The winger joined the Potters on a season-long loan basis from Chelsea during the summer, with some reports having suggested that manager Mark Hughes was keen to tie down the 23-year-old to a long-lasting deal.

However, despite the fact that Coates has claimed that the club has been "delighted" by Moses's start to his career as a Stoke player, there is no rush to talk about a more permanent solution.

"Although we are delighted with the start he has made for us, it is still very early days and so where that one goes I have no idea," he told The Sentinel.

"We haven't even discussed it yet because we are so early into the season and such a lot can happen, so there is no sense of urgency. I'm just pleased with what he has produced so far and pleased that we have him for the whole season."

Moses has made six appearances in all competitions this season.
