Napoli star Marek Hamsik will not be leaving the club during the January transfer window, according to the player's agent.
The 25-year-old has been one of the star performers over recent years for the Italian outfit, and has attracted interest from several of Europe's elite clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea.
However, his agent Juraj Venglos has revealed that his client will not be heading for the Napoli exit this month.
"The player is happy at the club and in the city," Venglos told Italian radio station CRC. "His dream is to play regularly in the Champions League, and with Napoli that is possible.
"We are currently studying the club's offer and he could stay in Naples for life.
"He could become captain and that would be a privilege, and to leave is not part of his plans."
Napoli currently sit third in Serie A and trail league leaders Juventus by five points.
