Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to loan Eden Hazard to Chelsea for the 2022-23 campaign.
The Belgium international has endured a hugely frustrated period at the Santiago Bernabeu, leading to frequent speculation regarding his future.
The 31-year-old is only midway through a long-term contract, making any attempt by Los Blancos to offload the playmaker more difficult.
However, according to Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez, Real are negotiating a loan deal with Chelsea, Hazard's former club, ahead of the next campaign.
Alvarez suggests that the La Liga leaders want to get a large portion of Hazard's wages off their outgoings so that they can bring in Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland.
Furthermore, it is claimed that Chelsea would not have the option of a permanent transfer, with Hazard instead returning to Real ahead of the final year of his contract.
Hazard has made just eight starts and 13 substitute outings in all competitions this season.
