Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a move for Borussia Monchengladbach winger Jonas Hofmann.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season with the Champions League contenders this season, notching up six goals and 10 assists in all competitions, including 12 contributions in 15 Bundesliga appearances.
However, with head coach Marco Rose confirmed to be leaving for Borussia Dortmund in the summer, the futures of Monchengladbach's key players are suddenly shrouded in uncertainty.
Hofmann is one of those who could be on his way out, according to Bild, and the former Borussia Dortmund man is understood to be a transfer target for the Blues.
The Germany international worked under the tutelage of current Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel during their time at the Westfalenstadion, and the report claims that contact has already been made between the pair ahead of a potential summer move.
Hofmann remains under contract at Monchengladbach until 2023, but a relatively modest figure of £14m could supposedly be enough to secure his signature.
