Rumoured Chelsea target Daniele Rugani has reached an impasse in contract talks with Juventus, according to a report.
The 24-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge following Maurizio Sarri's arrival in the summer, having previously worked together at Empoli.
Rugani's playing time has been restricted at the Allianz Stadium due to the surprise return of Leonardo Bonucci, however, seeing him play just once in Serie A so far this term.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato suggests that the seven-cap Italy international is no longer so keen to extend his contract with Juve, which could tempt Sarri to make a fresh approach.
Juventus, who also have Giorgio Chiellini, Medhi Benatia and Andrea Barzagli on their books, awarded Rugani a five-year contract in 2016.
