Chelsea have reportedly been left furious by comments made by former goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian left Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid during the summer window with the stopper having less than a year remaining on his contract, but the 26-year-old has recently criticised club director Marina Granovskaia.
Courtois has claimed that Granovskaia told him in March that he would be allowed to move back to Madrid - where his family are based - before being later informed by Granovskaia after the World Cup that he would be required to remain at the Blues.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Courtois was not provided with assurances by Granovskaia that he would be given permission to sign for Real before the end of his contract in 2019.
Chelsea were - at one stage - prepared to part ways with Courtois on a free transfer, but a decision was eventually made to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao.
