Chelsea announce the signing of centre-back Kurt Zouma from Saint-Etienne.

Chelsea have completed the deadline-day signing of centre-back Kurt Zouma from Saint-Etienne, they announced on their website on Friday.

The deal, which is believed to be in the region of £12m, will see Zouma remain at the Ligue 1 side for the rest of the season on loan.

"Chelsea Football Club has today (Friday) signed Kurt Zouma from Saint-Etienne," the statement read. "He will remain on loan at the French club for the rest of the season."

The five-and-a-half-year deal Zouma has signed will see him remain at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2019.
