Petr Cech: 'No need to pack up and leave'

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech insists that he has "no reason" to actively seek a move away from the club this summer, despite starting the first three games on the bench.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has insisted that he has "no reason" to leave the club this summer.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed a 10-year spell as the club's number one keeper, but has fallen behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the Czech Republic international, but he revealed that he is not actively looking to leave Jose Mourinho's side before the 11pm deadline tonight.

"I've been at the club for 10 years, the situation is now new to me. The three opening matches I could not play for the team. I have no reason to panic, pack up and leave," Cech told sport.cz.

"I am a Chelsea player, where I have two more years of contract. In football, nothing can be predicted in advance, nothing is ever perfect.

"A lot of players go on representative duty, yet still many transfer clubs. The offer would have to be right for everyone. I do not exclude anything [or] know the answer."

Chelsea have won all three of their matches in the new Premier League season.
