Bayern Munich 'to battle Chelsea for Niklas Sule'

A report claims that Bayern Munich will battle Chelsea for the signature of Hoffenheim centre-back Niklas Sule.

Bayern Munich will reportedly go head to head with Chelsea for the signature of Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule.

The 21-year-old, who made his Germany debut earlier this year, was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer and it is understood that the Blues will return with a bid in the January transfer window.

However, according to ESPN, Bayern also have a strong interest in the powerful centre-back and will be in the hunt if it becomes apparent that Hoffenheim will do business for their academy product.

Sule was part of the Germany squad that landed a silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
