Barcelona are reportedly ready to rival Chelsea in the race to sign Porto defender Alex Telles during the next transfer window.

Barcelona have reportedly identified Porto defender Alex Telles as a potential target ahead of the next transfer window.

Having enhanced his reputation with the Portuguese giants, the Brazil international is regarded as an attractive option in the market due to just over a year remaining on his contract.

With one of Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri expected to leave Chelsea, Frank Lampard is said to be keen on bringing in the left-back as a direct replacement.

However, according to reports in Spain, Barcelona are contemplating whether joining the race for the 27-year-old.

The speculation has emerged despite the Catalan giants having both Jordi Alba and Junior Firpo at their disposal.

Porto are likely to demand in the region of £35m for Telles, who has contributed eight goals and five assists in 23 league games this season.
