Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink to replace Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho?

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move to replace manager Jose Mourinho with either Carlo Ancelotti or Guus Hiddink, while the Portuguese could be sacked next week.

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move to replace manager Jose Mourinho with either Carlo Ancelotti or Guus Hiddink.

The Premier League champions have made a slow start to the season, and currently sit 15th in the table having taken just 11 points from their first 10 fixtures.

Mourinho received a vote of confidence from the club's board earlier this month, but after their 2-1 defeat by West Ham United yesterday the Portuguese coach is reportedly close to leaving Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are planning to sack Mourinho in the near future and replace him with one of the club's former managers.

Ancelotti spent two years at Stamford Bridge from 2009, where he won a league and cup double during his first season in charge, while Hiddink led the club for four months earlier that year.

Meanwhile, The Mirror reports that Mourinho could be sacked next week if the Blues are defeated by Liverpool on Saturday.

Chelsea will take on Stoke City in the League Cup on Tuesday evening.
