A quiet first half saw few chances for either side.

Chelsea's fans continued to show support for sacked manager Roberto Di Matteo, chanting his name in the 16th minute.

Fernando Torres had the pick of Chelsea's opportunities, but a poor finish made for an easy save for Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer.

Hugo Rodallega had a good chance towards the end of the half, forcing Petr Cech to make a save.

John Arne Riise could have given the visitors a lead early in the second half, but failed to connect fully with the ball at close range.

Rafael Benitez brought playmaker Juan Mata on at the hour mark as the home side sought to create more chances.

The keepers were kept busy as chances continued to fall the both teams.

Fulham looked threatening in the closing minutes but neither side were able to find the back of the net.

The result leaves Benitez still looking for his first win in charge of Chelsea.

The Stamford Bridge side do climb to third with a point, as West Brom were defeated by Swansea.
