Half-Time Report: No goals at Stamford Bridge

Few chances at Stamford Bridge in the first half between Chelsea and Fulham.

Chelsea and Fulham went in goalless at half time, with few chances for either side at Stamford Bridge.

Rafael Benitez received a less hostile reaction from the Stamford Bridge crowd than at his first match in charge on Sunday, although some supporters continue to protest against the ex-Liverpool boss's appointment.

Steve Sidwell had an early chance for Fulham, in an otherwise quiet opening 15 minutes.

The Chelsea fans once again paid tribute to sacked manager Roberto Di Matteo in the 16th minute, honouring his former squad number from his time as a player for the club.

Chelsea's first chance fell to Fernando Torres on the half-hour mark, but his shot provided Mark Schwarzer with an easy save.

Petr Cech was called into action towards the end of the half when Hugo Rodallega provided a solid strike for the visitors.
