John Terry: 'Racism from Chelsea fans unacceptable'

John Terry condemns Chelsea fans that were singing racist songs and preventing a black man from boarding the Paris Metro, describing the behaviour as "unacceptable".

Chelsea skipper John Terry has described the racist behaviour by the minority of Blues fans in Paris as "unacceptable".

The former England captain used his programme notes to condemn the fans for chanting a racist song and pushing a black man off of the Paris Metro before their Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain.

Terry also praises the club's swift bans and the action they have taken against the five fans who were allegedly involved in the incident.

"Football is a sport for everyone, that is one of the main reasons why we love it, and what happened on the Paris Metro on Tuesday was unacceptable," the 34-year-old said.

"The club has reacted quickly to deal with the situation and will continue to do so."

Terry was fined and banned by the Football Association in 2012, after he was found guilty for using racist language towards Queens Park Rangers' Anton Ferdinand.
