QPR boss Mark Hughes is angered by the decision to schedule John Terry's racism trial until after Euro 2012.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has expressed his anger over the delay to John Terry's racism trial.

The England captain, who has been charged with racially abusing Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand, will stand trial after Euro 2012 on Monday, July 9. Terry denies the charge.

However, Hughes believes that the decision to push the date back to the summer could have been influenced by the FA.

"Anton is obviously involved in the case and they have been given a date that is slap-bang in the middle of our pre-season, from Anton's point of view," he said. "That is going to impact on his preparation for a new season.

"I don't know how they have come up with the date, whether they have had discussions with the FA and [made sure] it doesn't impact on the Euros. They haven't discussed it with us.

"I think everybody believes it has been dragging on for ever. Certainly Anton would have preferred it to be done and dusted by now - I think everybody would."
