Fernando Torres has admitted that he is enjoying being the number one striker at Chelsea this season.
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo has built a new-look attack around the Spanish striker, deciding not to sign a direct replacement for Didier Drogba after he left the club this summer.
Torres told the Daily Star that he is setting personal targets to help fire Chelsea into title contention.
He said: "Didier is not here anymore, so there is more responsibility for me and I'm ready for the challenge.
"Now, I am looking for new personal targets, like getting as many goals as possible, hopefully more than in my best season at Liverpool.
"The Premier League is the big target and I think it is a good time, especially for me, to give something back to the fans."
Chelsea kick off their defence of the Champions League when they host Italian champions Juventus on Wednesday, September 19.
