Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel hailed the strength of his squad at Stamford Bridge following Sunday afternoon's 2-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Blues made it back-to-back wins at the start of the new Premier League season with the two-goal success in North London, with Romelu Lukaku scoring his first goal for the club on his second debut.
Reece James also registered against Mikel Arteta's team, and Tuchel is confident that he has a squad strong enough to challenge for the major trophies during the 2021-22 campaign.
"If you want to compete for any title we need a strong squad and it is my job to manage the squad and we need a good balance between competition and friendship and pushing each other," Tuchel told BBC Sport.
"Because this was maybe the key factor in the last half a year. We have a strong squad and we have a lot of games to play."
Chelsea are still believed to be keen on boosting their squad before the end of the summer transfer window despite spending £97.5m to bring Lukaku back to the club.
