Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will quit Chelsea at the end of the season and take over at a Serie A club, according to a report.

Antonio Conte has reportedly informed Serie A clubs that he intends to leave Chelsea at the end of the season due to an ongoing rift with the club's board.

The Italian has never truly settled in West London, despite ending his first campaign at the helm with a Premier League title and FA Cup runners-up medal.

Conte recently confessed that he does not intend to remain at Stamford Bridge for too much longer and, according to The Times, he plans on departing midway through the two-year deal signed in the summer.

A number of Italian top-flight teams are said to have been alerted to the 48-year-old's decision, with AC Milan - whose results have not yet fully justified the large amount of money spent during the off-season - the leading contenders to make a move.

As well as feeling homesick, Conte is said to be unhappy due to a dispute over the Blues' transfer policy which has seen him miss out on a number of targets.
