Jamie Redknapp: 'Chelsea will defend Premier League crown'

Chelsea will retain their Premier League title this season, according to former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has predicted that Chelsea will successfully defend their Premier League title this season.

Jose Mourinho's men romped to their fifth league championship last year, but Redknapp expects them to face a much harder challenge from their main rivals.

He told Sky Sports News: "I think they'll be pushed much harder this season by Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United. However, when push comes to shove, Jose Mourinho's team have the winning mentality that is needed."

Chelsea start the new campaign at home to Swansea City on Saturday.
