Ramires calls for Chelsea focus

Chelsea midfielder Ramires calls on his teammates to focus on beating West Ham following their League Cup success.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has urged his teammates to forget about their League Cup triumph and focus on tonight's clash with West Ham United.

The Premier League leaders continue their bid for a possible treble this evening at Upton Park.

While he admits that the squad enjoyed Sunday's victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium, Ramires is aware that it is now back to business for the Blues.

"When I came into training on Monday, the focus was already on the game against West Ham," he told the club's official website. "Obviously there was still a bit of euphoria, but not as much as on Sunday, because we are all aware of the importance of tonight.

"We have so many big games with one on top of the other and it's difficult to look beyond the next one. Hopefully, later in the season there will be plenty of time for celebrations if we achieve our targets, but for now our focus is only on West Ham and getting the three points away from home."

Chelsea earned a 2-0 win over West Ham when the sides met at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.
