The PGMOL will work with the Premier League to review VAR decisions following a couple of controversial decisions over the weekend.

Premier League are set to review VAR decisions in conjunction with PGMOL as a matter of priority.

The use of VAR has proven to be a major talking point over the course of the Premier League weekend following a couple of controversial decisions.

West Ham United manager David Moyes called the decision to disallow a potential 90th-minute equaliser against Chelsea "scandalous".

Maxwel Cornet's effort was ruled out in Saturday's 2-1 defeat after Jarrod Bowen was adjudged to have fouled Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in the build-up.

Meanwhile, Newcastle saw a Tyrick Mitchell own goal chalked off after Joe Willock was ruled to have fouled Vicente Guaita, with the encounter against Crystal Palace finishing as a goalless draw.

The PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) have accepted that both decisions were incorrect and that following the criticism they will work with the Premier League to review the incidents.

Once the review is completed, the outcome will be used in the weekly assessment of match officials and aid their development.
