Real Madrid president Florentino Perez confirms that Jose Mourinho will return to Chelsea.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that Jose Mourinho will return to Chelsea this summer.

The Portuguese waved goodbye to Madrid on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Osasuna, but he failed to secure a title for the club this season after missing out in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

It has long been suggested that Mourinho would re-join the Blues this summer as the Premier League outfit search for a replacement for Rafael Benitez, who has taken charge of Italian outfit Napoli.

Mourinho, 50, enjoyed a successful spell with Chelsea between 2004 and 2007, winning two Premier League titles for the club.
