Jose Mourinho pessimistic about Nemanja Matic appeal

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is pessimistic about the club's appeal for Nemanja Matic's red card, claiming that he has never won an appeal before.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho sarcastically dismissed that Chelsea would be successful with an appeal over Nemanja Matic's straight red card against Burnley.

The Portuguese manager questioned whether his side have ever won an appeal, in a jab at his bitter feud with the Football Association.

When asked by Goal.com for his opinion on Matic's red card, Mourinho replied: "Don't make me laugh, because I'm not in the mood to laugh.

"Have you ever seen Chelsea win an appeal? I don't remember."

The midfielder will miss Chelsea's League Cup final with Tottenham Hotspur next weekend if the Blues are unsuccessful with their appeal.
