Mourinho: 'I have improved as a coach'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that he is a better coach now than when he first left the club in 2007.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that he has improved as a coach since his first spell in charge of the club.

Mourinho first took control of the Blues from 2004 to 2007, winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups during his time at the helm.

Since his departure, the 50-year-old has won titles in Italy and Spain as well as a Champions League crown and thinks that those experiences have made him a better coach than he was during his first spell at Chelsea.

"My job is a job where experience means a lot," Mourinho told reporters. "I have had two years in Italy and three in Spain. It makes me better coach. I am in better condition than I was last time.

"I have some white hairs but in my case that's a good sign. It means I am better now than before. But I am still very sad and unhappy when my team doesn't win, it's up to the players to help me get the results I want."

Chelsea landed in Bangkok for their pre-season tour of Asia earlier today as they gear up for their opening game of the new Premier League season against newly-promoted Hull City on August 18.
