Jose Mourinho: 'Eden Hazard can be one of the best'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that Eden Hazard has the talent to become one of the best players in the world.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that Eden Hazard can become one of the best players in the world.

The 23-year-old Belgian winger has been in impressive form for the Blues this season, scoring 11 goals in 28 games.

Mourinho believes that the youngster has shown a huge improvement in his game since the summer, both physically and tactically.

"Eden can become one of the best players in the world. Now he sees his football and profession with different eyes," the Portuguese told the Evening Standard.

"He understood how there is a gap between the talent and the performance and a gap between the occasional performance and the permanent stability at a high level. He now understands how he can fill this gap.

"He trains much better, he concentrates much better. Tactically, he has had a big evolution. He understands how to put his qualities on the surface of the team. He understands the best way to hide his weaknesses."

Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in summer 2012 for a reported fee of £32m.
