Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea will be better next season'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is in no doubt that his side will be stronger in the Premier League next season.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he does not doubt his side will perform better in the Premier League next season.

After finishing behind winners Manchester City and Liverpool in the previous campaign, Mourinho is expecting the battle to be crowned champions even more fierce as they prepare to begin their bid for a fourth title in the Premier League era.

"Next season will be very, very difficult, even more so than last," the Chelsea boss is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"I know Chelsea will be better, but maybe the other teams will be better too, so it will again be the kind of league where you don't know if you're going to finish first or finish sixth.

"In this moment, I have to think and feel and say we want to finish first."

Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market, with the arrival of Cesc Fabregas expected to be followed by the acquisition of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.
