Mason Mount has acknowledged that he has had 'a crazy couple of months' since being involved in the Chelsea first-team squad.
After an impressive campaign on loan at Derby County, Mount is now a regular starter with the Blues, under the guidance of the same manager in Frank Lampard who oversaw his development at the Rams.
Being just one of several academy graduates now involved in the senior setup, Mount has admitted that it feels 'strange' to find himself playing with his long-term teammates from the youth ranks.
The England international told Sky Sports News: "It's been a crazy first couple of months. Sometimes it's quite strange on the training pitch or playing games looking across and seeing someone you've played with for so many years.
"Hopefully this year we can try to win a trophy and build on that in the next couple of years."
Mount has scored three goals from nine appearances in the Premier League and Champions League this season.
