Chelsea are reportedly ready to fine forward Romelu Lukaku for comments made during an interview last week.
The 28-year-old told Sky Sport Italia that he was unhappy with life at Stamford Bridge and strongly suggested that he was already pining for a return to Inter Milan.
Lukaku was subsequently dropped from the squad to face Liverpool on Sunday, but head coach Thomas Tuchel revealed two days later that the matter had been resolved.
However, according to La Repubblica, the Blues board will hand Lukaku a fine of £417,000 for the negative headlines which have been generated over the past week.
The alleged move comes despite Lukaku issuing a public apology on Tuesday night, the Belgian saying sorry for 'any upset that he has caused'.
Tuchel is expected to play some part of Chelsea's EFL Cup tie with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
