Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has admitted that he cannot quite believe that he has become the club's all-time record goalscorer after surpassing Bobby Tambling's record.
The England international scored his 203rd goal for the club as he notched an important brace in the Blues' 2-1 comeback win over Aston Villa, which all but secured their Champions League place next season.
"It's a bit surreal, to actually sit at the top in terms of goals, I can't quite get my head around it," Lampard told the club's official website.
"Having edged towards it recently, and with the season coming to an end, I did want to do it this season, so I'm really delighted.
"I've had some great moments at this club. Bolton Wanderers when we won the league for the first time, Munich was probably the greatest, but on a personal note, and the fact these were important goals for the club to get us into the Champions league for next year it was amazing."
Chelsea are third in the Premier League following the win over the Villans.
