FA charge Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is charged by the FA with improper conduct after hitting out at referre Chris Foy during the Premier League clash against QPR.

The Football Association have charged Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas for improper conduct during the West London derby against Queens Park Rangers.

The Blues boss has been disciplined for his comments criticising referee Chris Foy, which he made after losing 1-0 to Neil Warnock's side at Loftus Road last month.

The derby became the centre of controversy after Chelsea lost two players to red cards, with Didier Drogba being penalised for a two-footed tackle and Jose Bosingwa being the last man to bring down Shaun Wright-Phillips.

The former Premier League champions were condemned for failing to control their players during the sending-off offences.

The heated match also caused a racism row between John Terry and Anton Ferdinand, which has resulted in the Chelsea captain being investigated by the FA as well as the police over allegations of racial abuse.
