Didier Drogba: 'I don't regret move to China'

Didier Drogba insists that he has no regrets about leaving the Premier League for China.

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has dampened speculation of a return to the Premier League by insisting that he is happy in China.

It has been reported that Drogba's club Shanghai Shenhua have experienced financial problems but the 34-year-old has insisted that he wants to stay in China.

Drogba told BBC Sport: "I am really happy here in China.

"I miss the Premier League because it is the best league in the world but I really don't regret my choice.

"I just arrived two months ago so I am really happy. I don't want to leave here."

Drogba left Chelsea after scoring the winning penalty in the club's Champions League triumph over Bayern Munich in May.
