Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: 'Alvaro Morata must work hard to rediscover form'

Conte: 'Morata must work hard to find form'

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says that Alvaro Morata must "work hard" in order to rediscover his scoring touch in front of goal.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has claimed that Alvaro Morata will only rediscover his best form in front of goal by 'working hard'.

The summer signing has seen his opening campaign in English football hampered by injury, with the Spaniard's last goal in any competition coming on Boxing Day.

However, despite regaining his place in the starting lineup, Morata has been told to improve his work-rate in order to add to his 12 strikes since moving to West London from Real Madrid.

At a press conference, the 48-year-old told reporters: "He has to work. He has to work and recover the best form after the injury to his back.

"He has to work and have patience, and we must have patience. But the only way is to work."

Morata is likely to start when Chelsea face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
