Antonio Conte inspired by Claudio Ranieri's success at Leicester City

Antonio Conte tells his Chelsea players to look at Leicester City's title-winning success of 2015-16 as an example of what is possible when players work as one.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted that he will look to take lessons from Claudio Ranieri's title-winning Leicester City side of last season.

The Foxes finished 10 points clear at the summit to seal the most unlikely of triumphs in 2015-16, with Ranieri key to that success.

Conte believes that City's achievement last time out acts as a "fantastic example" for his new side, as he prepares for Monday evening's clash against West Ham United at Stamford Bridge - his first taste of competitive English football.

Speaking to reporters, the Italian said: "It's a fantastic example. And I think that a great club must always look to the last season for what happened. Because a team, a great team, who win the league, became a great team, Leicester. Ranieri did a fantastic job and the players did a fantastic job, because they created the right spirit.

"And when you watch Leicester's games you understand this great feeling between the players. Every player is ready to help his team-mate because he knows in another situation his team-mate will help him. It's important to have this if you want to win.

"It's important to have talented, fantastic players, but it's important as well to create the right spirit. When you win it's fantastic, each result is perfect. But when you lose there are many nights that you don't sleep. When you win you reach a great level in your soul, in your mind, and you work very, very hard to have this moment."

Chelsea head into their home meeting with West Ham on the back of a pre-season that has seen them win four and lose two of their friendly matches.
