Antonio Conte fears Manchester City could dominate English football

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte believes that everything is in place for Manchester City to dominate English football and also challenge for honours on the continent.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has congratulated Manchester City on their "incredible" Premier League title success and admits that the Citizens could dominate English football for years to come.

City were confirmed as champions in joint-record time last weekend thanks to closest challengers Manchester United's 1-0 home loss to West Bromwich Albion.

A number of records look set to tumble in the remaining month of the season, many of which Chelsea currently hold, and Conte is worried that Pep Guardiola's men are at the top to stay.

"They have dominated this season and I think it is right to give the compliment," he told reporters ahead of Thursday's trip to Burnley. "This league is not simple, it is very tough to win. But in the way they did this, it was incredible.

"They did a great job this season, on and off the pitch. Manchester City is one club that can continue to dominate, to win, not only in England but also to fight for the Champions League. They have the possibility to do this in this moment.

"They are a very strong club, they have an squad with great quality, great players. And they want to invest, to improve the situation. There are a lot of things in the right place."

Man City have lost just twice in the Premier League this term and lead the stats in terms of possession, touches, passes, shots and goals.
