Raine Group have reportedly extended the deadline for amended bids for Chelsea by a number of days.
LA Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly, the Ricketts Family of the Chicago Cubs, a consortium led by former Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton and Boston Celtics co-owner Stephen Pagliuca are all said to be in the running.
A previous report had suggested that new proposals needed to be submitted by April 11 - the start of next week - but it now appears that the candidates will be granted extra time.
According to Sky News, a new deadline of 'the back end of next week' has been put in place, to 'give them a full and fair opportunity to adequately finalise the details of their proposals'.
The report adds that Raine Group's current intention is to put forward a recommendation for the new owner to the British government in May.
As it stands, a deal is expected to be finalised before the end of the season, which would allow the Blues to function normally in the transfer window.
