Rafael Benitez says that it is "fantastic" that Oscar was disappointed at being left out of the Chelsea starting lineup against Corinthians.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that he has no problems with Oscar after the Brazilian was disappointed to be left out of the Blues starting lineup against Corinthians.

The midfielder came on in the second half of the Londoners' 1-0 defeat to the Brazilian outfit in the Club World Cup final on Sunday, and has been used sparingly since the Spaniard took charge at Stamford Bridge.

However, the 21-year-old is likely to line up against Leeds United in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night, and Benitez believes that it is "fantastic" that Oscar was annoyed at being a substitute.

"Oscar is fine. He's a very good professional. We don't have any issue with him," said Benitez. "I try to manage players, especially in his position because we have Eden Hazard and Juan Mata, who can do more or less the same job.

"It's difficult for them but it's good for me because I have different problems. There are no issues or problems. Oscar will have a lot of time on the pitch and I'm sure he'll be a great player for the club.

"Oscar's not happy because he's not playing and that's fantastic. There would be a problem if it was the opposite."

Chelsea travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.
