Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Norwich City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.

Chelsea will aim to cement their position at the top of the pile in the Premier League when they welcome Norwich City to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues were made to work for their victory over Brentford last time out, but a Ben Chilwell strike ultimately saw them prevail 1-0 against Thomas Frank's inspired Bees.

Thomas Tuchel's side also marched to a convincing 4-0 success over Malmo in Wednesday's Champions League battle, but the victory was overshadowed by injuries to two key attackers.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Christian Pulisic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 23 (vs. Norwich)

Christian Pulisic's ankle problem prevented him from taking part against Malmo, but Tuchel has affirmed that the attacker is "very, very close" to making his comeback, which could therefore be this weekend.

Romelu Lukaku

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Romelu Lukaku lasted just 23 minutes against Malmo before being taken off with a twisted ankle, and Tuchel has conceded that it will "take a while" for the Belgian to shake off the issue, meaning that he is set to miss this contest.

Timo Werner

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Timo Werner was Chelsea's second casualty of the Malmo win as he was taken off with a hamstring problem in the 44th minute, and the 25-year-old is set to join Lukaku on the sidelines for this game.
