Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has acknowledged that Romelu Lukaku is in contention to start Saturday's FA Cup final against Liverpool.
Despite under-performing for the majority of the campaign, Lukaku has scored three times in recent Premier League fixtures against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United.
Speaking to the media ahead of the showpiece occasion at Wembley Stadium, Tuchel suggested that partnering the Belgian with first-choice Kai Havertz is an option available to him.
However, Tuchel added that Lukaku, the club's record signing, could not have done any more to earn an opportunity against the Merseyside giants.
The German told reporters: "We could play both, although they lack a feeling of the perfect fit together. It is very likely that it will be one of the two, but we will not give the lineup today.
"Romelu played lately and he scored lately, so he did everything to stay on the pitch. It will be our final call tomorrow morning."
Before Lukaku's recent return to form, Havertz had put together a five-game streak without finding the back of the net, resulting in him dropping to the substitutes' bench.
