David Luiz backs Paulinho to impress

Chelsea defender David Luiz backs Paulinho to impress in the Premier League should the Brazilian join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has insisted that Paulinho would impress in the Premier League should the Brazilian join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

It has been widely suggested that Spurs are preparing a move for the Corinthians midfielder, who scored the winner for his country in the 2-1 win over Uruguay in the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup on Wednesday.

"If he gets to play in England, he will definitely go far. His game fits perfectly with the pace of English football," Luiz told FIFA.com.

"It's incredibly valuable to have someone like that in your side. Especially when the team (Brazil) is getting along together as well as ours is."

Brazil face Spain in the final this evening.
