Roberto Di Matteo focused on Juventus match

Roberto Di Matteo insists that he is only focused on Chelsea's match with Juventus amid rumours suggesting that he is facing the axe.

Roberto Di Matteo has insisted that he will not let speculation over his Chelsea future affect his preparation for their Champions League tie with Juventus.

The Blues travel to Italy on the back of a four-game winless run which has seen them fall four points behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

With anything but victory in Turin meaning that Chelsea's European campaign would be out of their hands going into the final fixture, rumours have circulated that demanding owner Roman Abramovich is already looking at possible successors.

However, Di Matteo, who was appointed permanent boss in the summer after guiding Chelsea to the Champions League and FA Cup double during a caretaker spell, has stressed his mind is fixed solely on Juventus rather than his own fate.

He said: "I'm not thinking about that. I'm preparing for the game and the team for Tuesday, and have important decisions to make about that.

"We are very confident we can have a good game and, hopefully, a good result."

Di Matteo was given a two-year contract upon his appointment as Blues manager in June.
