Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell has admitted that the club must sort out the futures of several players before January.
Club captain Johnnie Jackson is among a host of experienced players who will be out of contract in the summer, along with Powell and his coaching staff.
The Charlton boss has acknowledged that his squad could be broken up unless players are offered fresh deals soon.
"John's one of a number of players who I would like their contracts sorted but I'm not in a position to affect that at the present time," Clubcall.com quotes Powell as saying.
"Myself and a number of my staff will be out of contract as well and I suppose there is a little bit of uncertainty in the group. But it hasn't affected their work, they are giving their all as always. All they can do is play well and hopefully we will be in a position to give them the rewards they deserve.
"In January they will have six months [left] and that is not a good position for us to be in."
Charlton currently sit 19th in the Championship table.
