Charlton Athletic swoop for Tal Ben Haim

Former Chelsea and Portsmouth defender Tal Ben Haim signs a one-year deal with Charlton Athletic.

Charlton Athletic have secured the signing of defender Tal Ben Haim on a one-year deal.

The 32-year-old made 15 appearances for Standard Liege last season before leaving the Belgian side at the end of the campaign.

Ben Haim becomes the Addicks' fifth signing of the summer, with Yoni Buyens, Igor Vetokele, Franck Moussa and Andre Bikey having already arrived at The Valley.

The Israel international is a familiar figure in English football having already represented Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea, Manchester City, Sunderland, Portsmouth, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers.
