Tony Watt has confirmed that he has signed a five-year contract with Belgian side Standard Liege.
The club has paid Scottish champions Celtic £1.2m for the 20-year-old, who famously scored the winning goal in their 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Champions League in 2012.
He posted a statement on Twitter this evening, which said: "Delighted to sign a five-year contract with Standard Liege today! Just want to thank everyone at Celtic for making my dreams come true and giving me an unforgettable three-and-a-half years!
"It wasn't an easy decision to leave the club I support and I honestly can't explain the feeling I got every time I wore the hoops.
"And also a big thanks to the supporters who helped me during my Celtic career, I will never forget the atmosphere in most of the matches."
Watt spent last season on loan in Belgium with Lierse, scoring eight goals in 17 games before being dropped following a falling-out with the club's manager.
