Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly confident of sealing a deal for RB Leipzig centre-back Marvin Compper when the January transfer window opens for business.
Compper, 32, has only made three appearances for Leipzig during the 2017-18 campaign after falling out of favour.
The experienced defender is said to be keen on leaving the German club next month in search of first-team football, and a number of teams have been credited with an interest.
According to the Daily Mail, however, Celtic are in the driving seat for Compper, who will see his current deal with Leipzig expire at the end of next season.
Celtic, who are currently five points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, will take on Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg in the last-32 stage of the Europa League.
