Anthony Stokes, John Guidetti give Celtic the win

Goals from Anthony Stokes and John Guidetti give Celtic a 2-1 win over Dundee.

Celtic remain top of the Scottish Premiership as goals from Anthony Stokes and John Guidetti gave them a 2-1 win over Dundee at Celtic Park this afternoon.

Dundee started the brighter of the two teams, and wasted good chances to open the scoring through Greg Stewart and David Clarkson inside the opening five minutes.

The returning Kris Commons went close with a header from a Stokes corner, before Scott Bain in the Dundee goal reacted quickly to deny Guidetti after the Swedish striker had been put through by James Forrest.

On the stroke of half time Stokes met a Commons corner and planted a header beyond Bain to send Celtic in 1-0 ahead at the break.

The home side doubled their lead 10 minutes after the restart when Forrest picked out Adam Matthews who crossed for Guidetti to fire home from 12 yards out.

Clarkson bundled home from close range to grab his seventh goal in seven games and give Dundee hope, but Ronny Deila's side held on to secure the win.
