Celtic secured a 1-0 win over Hearts at home to remain within four points of leaders Rangers this afternoon.
Gary Hooper had the best chance of the first half from inside the six-yard box, but fired his shot across the face of goal. Strike partner Stokes later had a shot from 30 yards saved by Hearts keeper Kello to keep the score at 0-0 at the break.
Celtic defender Victor, who started the game in midfield, was able to break the deadlock from distance with less than 20 minutes to go after a forward run.
The home side suffered a late scare with under five minutes remaining, when Scott Brown was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area. However, Hearts' Eggert Jonsson was unable to convert from the spot.
