Kris Commons: 'Half-time changes paid off'

Celtic midfielder Kris Commons says that substitute James Forrest helped secure his side's 2-0 win over Hearts.

Celtic midfielder Kris Commons has attributed his side's 2-0 win over Hearts to the changes introduced by manager Neil Lennon at half time.

The teams went into the break tied at 0-0, but the introduction of substitute James Forrest helped the Hoops break down their opponents in the second period.

"When we changed at half time [we] got more width and Jamesy used his pace, I thought it worked quite well," he told reporters.

"Going into the last couple of minutes it's always disappointing to concede and we must have had 70% to 80% of the ball. For us to dominate the game so much, and their keeper played very well, it would have been disappointing to concede so late on."

Commons broke the deadlock with his 13th goal this term, before Forrest sealed the win with a last-minute strike.
