Celtic boss Neil Lennon wants captain Craig Brown to miss Scotland's upcoming friendly against Luxembourg.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that he wants Craig Brown to be left out of Scotland's upcoming friendly against Luxembourg.

The Bhoys have a congested fixture list in the upcoming weeks and Lennon believes that his captain will benefit from missing the game at the Stade Josy Barthel on November 14.

"Ideally I would like him to be left out of that because we have a heavy schedule of games," he told reporters.

Celtic continue the defence of their Scottish Premier League title on Sunday when they visit Dundee United.
