Manager Keith Curle signs new Carlisle United deal

Carlisle Untied manager Keith Curle extends his contract at Brunton Park until the summer of 2018.

Manager Keith Curle has agreed a new contract with League One outfit Carlisle United.

The 52-year-old has been in charge at Brunton Park since September 2014 when he replaced Tony Caig.

"I am very pleased that Keith has agreed the extension as he has brought a new focus and impetus to the club over the course of the last 12 months," chairman Andrew Jenkins told the club's official website.

"He successfully steered us away from relegation last season and has continued the good work by building a stronger squad and by implementing a realignment of the club's footballing focus."

The fresh terms have tied Curle to the Cumbrian club until June 2018.
